AND Designs was asked to design the structural elements for this luxury Georgian style manor house in Chiddingfold.
The building is clad in honey-coloured natural stone, which we had to pay particular attention to when designing the steel frames due to the sensitive and brittle nature of the material. This building also has very large openings which added to the project’s complex design.

Very happy with Lawrence and his team, they provided a competitive quote and Lawrence, at our request, made a huge effort to ensure timber rather than steel was used in our loft. He also kindly re-calculated and reconfigured some of the recommended loads and beam placements when I realised we would have to change the phasing of the works. Further to this, he has spoken with my builder to help explain his calculation. All very much appreciated.
